Quarta is a company dedicated to the exhibition, sale and dissemination of furniture, lighting, kitchens and bathrooms of the best contemporary design.

Since its foundation in 1987 by José Antonio Saura and Elena Castaño, our reason for being is design.

Aware of the importance of surrounding ourselves with what we identify with, we select objects that move us because of their beauty, history and functionality and we look for the ideal way to make them dialogue with the space, from the home to the public places. To do this we have the world's most prestigious furniture and lighting manufacturers who, together with the best designers of the 20th and 21st centuries, have created unique collections.

Our team, thanks to a deep knowledge of the firms we distribute, offers, both to private clients and to professionals of the sector, personalized advice in each of the phases of their furniture and lighting projects.

For more than 30 years we have been selecting furniture, lamps and objects with the certainty that by improving our spaces we also improve our quality of life. Attentive to detail, we seek to satisfy the desires and needs of our customers through everyday objects that facilitate and enrich people's lives.

Quarta was founded in 1987 by José Antonio Saura and Elena Castaño with the aim of establishing a space dedicated to contemporary design in the city of Murcia. The inauguration will give rise to an exhibition by the Italian firm Alias, presenting the designs of the Swiss architect Mario Botta, and will be attended by the Italian designer Carlo Forcolini.

The exhibition highlights the desire to create not only a point of sale for furniture and lighting, but also a meeting place where you can discover and enjoy the best in contemporary furniture design.

The Barcelona Olympics inspired a new exhibition with the firm BD based on pieces produced from Salvador Dalí's designs. At the same time, that same year, two of its main firms arrive exclusively at Quarta: on the one hand, the Swiss company Vitra and on the other, the German brand bulthaup, manufacturer of top-of-the-range kitchen furniture.

At the turn of the century, a meeting between Vitra and Quarta took place on the occasion of the presentation of the Swiss company's most emblematic pieces. In 2006, the experience was repeated to introduce clients and friends to the "Point of Inspiration", with which Vitra is guaranteed a permanent exhibition space in our premises.

In 2007 Quarta celebrates its 20th anniversary. Coinciding with the 20th anniversary of Edra, Quarta radically transforms its exhibition space to celebrate it with an extensive display of pieces from the Italian brand.

Subsequently, it expanded its facilities with two new showrooms: bulthaup Murcia in 2008, dedicated to the German kitchen brand, and Quarta Loft in 2010, a space dedicated to the development of projects in close collaboration with professionals from the world of interior design and architecture.

Quarta celebrates its 30th anniversary and continues with its commitment to careful customer service; the utmost respect for design, quality and functionality in the selection of firms and products; and a definitive commitment to the undeniable dialogue between architecture and the provision of furniture pieces.

It is currently collaborating with the firm Rimadesio for the forthcoming opening of a showroom dedicated to the Italian brand specialising in integral solutions for the division of spaces and the architectural definition of interiors. Doors, sliding panels, dressing rooms, bookcases and a wide collection of accessories.
